Celle Marriage Abstracts (Pre-1700)

The IGS Library is acquiring marriage abstracts for as many areas
in Germany as possible. Franz Schubert, now deceased, conceived
and prodded local genealogists to start this project many years
ago. Many of them are continuing their work. We will add other areas
if they become available. These abstracts fill in some of the blanks
created by the failure of various local officials to allow films of
their records to be available through the Family History Library in
Salt Lake City.
Celle Area Marriages up to 1700
Abstracts of marriages in the area around Celle, northeast from
Hannover, has begun, but is not yet completed. The following
records are already available in 3 volumes for research. You may
specify a village if you wish.

___ Celle French -Reformed (1687--1700)
___ Burgwedel (1662--1700)
___ Isernhagen (1651--1700)
___ Burgdorf (1652--1700)
___ Müden (Mueden / Muden) / Aller (1647--1700)
___ Sehnde (1657--1700)
___ Steinwedel (1663--1700)
The parishes outside of Celle are all quite close to Hannover and
can be considered part of that general area.
