Marriage Abstracts
Because Berlin was a large business community, it attracted many
visitors as well as residents. As a City-state, it included
areas surrounding it. These marriage abstracts can show the
presence of surnames at very early dates. The churches included
are: St. Marion, St. Nikolai, The Dom, St. Petri, Dorotheenstadt,
Friedrichswerder, St. Georgen, Luisenstadt, Jerusalem, Neue
Kirche and The French-Reformed Gemeinde.
